the end of an era
doc day afternoon is moving and we need your help!

so much has happened between the last issue i sent and this one.
in the last two years, doc day afternoon has grown into much more than just a substack blog. i’m so proud to share that we’re now a systems and operations partner dedicated to helping service-based founders and growing teams build the structures, documentation, and shared context that let great work happen at every stage of growth.
after a lot of back and forth, i’ve officially moved us over from substack to kit (formerly convertkit), under the name steady as she grows. i believe this move will me more room to run the business side of things, while still keeping a cozy corner to write about technology, leadership, and (of course) movies.
if you don’t want to hear from me anymore, i completely get it! just unsubscribe below and i’ll make sure in good faith that you don’t get carried over.

switching email platforms (and addresses) can be a little iffy for deliverability, so a few emails might land in spam or promotions the first time around.
to make sure my emails keep landing in your inbox, i’d be so grateful if you took a moment to do one thing:

hit reply to that email (not this one, the one coming right after — the subject is: “the movie that predicted AI almost 70 years ago”). this is the easiest and best way to help! just reply with “hi” or “sdlkjfgslkfgjs” or “blank” or whatever silliness you want to tell me today.
bonus points:
if the email is hiding in spam or promotions, mark it as safe, or drag it to your main inbox.
whitelist my sending address (ghalizha@docdayafternoon.com) with your provider so future emails come through cleanly.
add the email to your contacts. but the most important thing you can do is just to reply to that email, which may already be in your inbox.
